Double Exposure: This embodiment of baseball within me, shows my passion I have for the sport. The more I have explored myself in sports, the more I have found a sense of tranquility, formidability and strength. Being a part of Skyline Baseball has improved my outlook on life, experiencing various coaches approaches, and taking in the great, wide variety of features given to me by sports. I feel that it is a part of me at this point, that I will always remember. I enjoy hitting, throwing, running and catching because I have been taught well how to play baseball by my many mentors and coaches. I look forward to extending my baseball career into the summer with my fall team, and eventually going to some camps and combines that will get me college exposure.

Original:
The image is my attempt at conveying how I want to show how this photo is a starting point, or asymptote. The first layer, is a daily special from Chela's taquiera, which contains tacos and rice and beans, that represents my dependence on good food. Next, the layer of a Lacroix in my hand at the steering wheel represents how I embrace carbonated beverages as a staple of my life, and how I always choose to lie with fizz rather than without carbonation, on the edge. The baseball field and the picture of plum market both represent things that define my time outside of school. My free time is represented by these two images and comes along with capital, and satisfaction of winning and playing baseball. My last layer, is a representation of an empty can, that shows how I find satisfaction out of canned items and enjoy being around water, enjoying life along with it. I rasterized the baseball field, so that you cannot see they sky, this is because I feel the game is an unnatural complex that no one can completely understand, because it is human made. All of these images layered over the selfie, finally represent everything that is contained in my personality and time. Layers upon layers of things make up my identity, which is the force that pushes me forward, into the stream of progression in modern America.

JUXTAPOSITION STATEMENT:
(Contrasting 5 layer selfie with the double exposure.)
My 5 layer selfie is a good representation of how much I knew about photoshop, when I made it. I included all of the important elements, but ended up creating a confusing, blurred image of my interests and passions. I was interested in all of the incorporated components of my 5 layer image, but they did not congeal very well to create a cohesive, clear photo. The double exposure project helped me identify exactly one thing that I am immersed with. I made a lot of touch-ups after I masked and edited my double exposure. I believe baseball is a core interest in both images, but you can see it easier in my double exposure.
